WholesomeZine is a creativity clubhouse founded by a group of music lovers who worked together to build physical and digital communities for Chicago musicians. Working a four month internship for WholesomeZine allowed me to learn a bunch of new skills. I learned how to edit and create blog posts for the company’s Squarespace website, but the project I dedicated myself most to were the monthly newsletters.
I learned how to operate Mailchimp in order to create compelling on-brand newsletters to send out to all of WholesomeZine’s subscriber lists! Working on this project involved a lot of back-and-forth communication with my fellow Wholesome colleagues to figure out what events/news to highlight for the month. Watching the end results get sent to hundreds of subscribers had been a thoroughly satisfying accomplishment.
